BTS’s emotional and melancholic song “Film Out” continues to break records. On April 2nd (KST), the group released their new single “Film Out” co-composed and produced by Jungkook, which will be included in the upcoming Japanese compilation album “BTS, The Best” (to be released on June 16).
“Film Out” debuted at No. 1 on Japan’s Oricon Daily Digital Singles chart, with a total of 23,344 downloads on the first day of its release. It also became their biggest first day ever for a Single in Japan, surpassing Dynamite’s downloads (13,985). The song also hit No. 1 on other major Japanese daily music charts such as Line Music, AWA, and Recochoku.
BTS’s music video for “Film Out” reached 29.38 million views in the first 24 hours of its release, setting a new record for the highest number of views achieved by a Korean group with a Japanese MV. The previous record was also held by BTS with the MV for the song “Stay Gold.”
