“BE” by BTS becomes their 2nd Korean album to go Platinum in Japan

On January 15, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced its certifications for the month of December 2020, which showed that BTS’s album “BE (Deluxe Edition)” has been certified platinum. 

This marks BTS’s second Korean album to reach platinum status in Japan, following the 2020 album “Map of the Soul: 7.” Their Japanese album “Face Yourself” (released in 2018) has also achieved double platinum certification, while their latest Japanese album “Map of the Soul: 7 The Journey” (released in 2020) has reached triple platinum.
